Garden walls & patios
Outdoor brickwork done properly
Garden walls and patios take a beating from rain, frost and ground movement. Poor foundations and the wrong materials lead to leaning walls, cracked joints and sunken paving. We build outdoor structures with proper foundations, suitable frost-resistant bricks and correct drainage, so they stay straight and solid for years.

Garden and patio redesign
Matt was able to discuss our patio and garden plans with us and and put them in to reality.
The end result is everything we had hoped for, we're really pleased with the result. We now have an eye-catching low maintenance garden.
We also had the house wall repointed.
Superb Brickwork, Highly Recommended
The brickwork on our new‑build barn‑annex, including the chimney stack and a one‑metre perimeter wall, was completed to a superb standard. The team kept the site consistently tidy, worked with real pride, and showed genuine passion for the craft. Everyone was polite, respectful, and easy to deal with, making the whole process smooth from start to finish. Highly recommended for reliable, quality brickwork.
Update to front steps
Matt and his team completed some work on our front steps. The work was carried out exactly as discussed and to a very high standard. We would definately be using for future work.
Patio extension
Matt and his fab team recently extended my patio. It was just what I had in mind - the slabs matched perfectly and shingle was added by the fence so it matched existing work. They also tidied up like nothing ever happened. Amazing. Would highly recommend. Thank you!
Stunning new garden
Amazing experience with this friendly, considerate and highly skilled team. We had a new wall, fence, patio and artificial grass laid. The results are even better than we hope. Would highly recommend Bradford Brickwork.
Shorten garden wall and make good driveway
Matt and his team did a very good job of putting right a job previously carried out by a non qualified brick layer.
The job is now completed to a very high standard and everything was left clean and tidy. The team were polite and courteous at all times. We would highly recommend .
Repointing house wall
We needed one wall of our house repointed, but we also needed the ridge tiles replaced as well as the roof verges.
Matt was very knowledgeable and the brickie he supplied was really good and very helpful. Nathan went above and beyond.
They were really easy to get on with and did a superlative job.
I would thoroughly recommend and definitely use them again, if the need arises.
Definitely 20 stars !!
Repointing
This was our first experience of having a wall repointed, but we needn't have worried. The team were friendly, polite and professional. Communication was good and they arrived and completed on time.
They did a great job and the wall looks great. I would certainly use Bradford Brickwork again.
FAQs
Garden wall & patio FAQs
Can you repair or rebuild an existing wall?
Yes. We repair leaning or damaged walls, or take them down and rebuild them properly.
Do retaining walls need special design?
Taller retaining walls need careful design and drainage to cope with soil pressure. We’ll advise, and for larger walls we can work with an engineer.
Do I need permission for a front wall?
Walls next to a road over 1 metre high usually need planning permission. Other boundary walls can generally be up to 2 metres.
