Porches
Why add a porch?
A porch is one of the most practical improvements you can make. It gives you somewhere for coats, shoes and deliveries, adds a buffer against draughts, and makes the front of your house look finished and inviting. Because it’s the first thing people see, the brickwork has to be right, and that’s our speciality.

Update to front steps
Matt and his team completed some work on our front steps. The work was carried out exactly as discussed and to a very high standard. We would definately be using for future work.
Patio extension
Matt and his fab team recently extended my patio. It was just what I had in mind - the slabs matched perfectly and shingle was added by the fence so it matched existing work. They also tidied up like nothing ever happened. Amazing. Would highly recommend. Thank you!
Re-pointing front of Victorian house
Exceptionally high quality re-pointing work on front of Victorian house with lime mortar. The tradesmen were highly skilled and experienced and friendly and communicative. Highly recommended.
Brickwork to extension.
Matt attended to quote and review on brickwork before and after completion of work. Advised on house generally. Respected garden and placed lawn boards. Particularly impressed with matching the coloured mortar, unlike previous contractor.
High quality work, very happy
Work to update our front steps - rebuild of two brick walls and new sandstone slabs on the steps - was carried out to a high standard. James who carried out the work explained to us each stage of the work, arrived on time each day, and was personable and respectful. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.
repointing front of house
Good efficient service from start to finish. Nice neat finish too. completely satisfied. Highly recommend.
Garden and patio redesign
Matt was able to discuss our patio and garden plans with us and and put them in to reality.
The end result is everything we had hoped for, we're really pleased with the result. We now have an eye-catching low maintenance garden.
We also had the house wall repointed.
Reliable and great work
Great work, great communication, sorted out the problem quickly and no fuss, even when the job expanded beyond what we agreed. Result is better than we had originally. Very pleased.
FAQs
Porch FAQs
Do I need planning permission for a porch?
Usually not, provided the floor area is under 3 square metres, it’s no higher than 3 metres and it’s at least 2 metres from a boundary facing a road. We’ll confirm during our visit.
How long does a porch take to build?
Most porches are completed within one to two weeks.
Can you match my existing bricks?
Yes. Matching brickwork is central to every porch we build.
